April 23, 2010
- Taiwanese WiMAX carrier Vee Time, formerly known as Vee Telecom Multimedia, has rolled out its commercial mobile broadband services by means of Motorola's WiMAX technology, Taiwan's Economic Daily News reported on April 15. Vee Time's services feature digital media convergence of TV, voice calls, and mobile Internet. The carrier holds a WiMAX service license for central Taiwan and has launched services in Taichung City and County as well as Kinmen County in its first-phase network deployment.

- Canadian Aperto Networks, a wholly-owned unit of Tranzeo Wireless, said that it has landed a US$1.5 million purchase order for WiMAX equipment by an unspecified Indian carrier, according to an April 22 press release. It is understood that the equipment will be used for the expansion of the Indian carrier's existing broadband services, aiming to include enterprise users in its customer portfolio. Shipments are expected to begin soon and continue through the current year.
